Awana

We host an Awana club for boys and girls, from ages 3 through 6th grade.  The club starts at 6:00pm and ends at 7:30pm.  The time for the various age groups is divided into three chunks for 1) Scripture memory and recitation, 2) Bible story and application, and 3) game time.

The name “Awana” stands for “approved workmen are not ashamed.”  It is taken from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15 which says, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  This verse captures one of the main goals of Awana, which is to immerse boys and girls in God’s Word, bringing them to Jesus Christ and discipling them to a full Christian walk.
